EttaJames lives with her owners Hana and Tim in BC. Bobbie and I are fortunate to be co-owners on this lovely girl.
In 2018, EttaJames started her show career in Canada by going Best of Breed three times for 3 majors towards her championship.
2019 proved to be even better as she started to mature. Shortly after her second birthday, she finished her Canadian Championship at the lovely outdoor shows in Merritt. After that, we thought we’d try our hand at some shows in the US where she picked up her first points quite easily.
In September 2019, we went to the PNWGSC Specialties in Washington. Always fun and well run, these Specialties are well attended and a great chance to see some lovely Gordon Setters from all over the West. For us, Friday the 13th turned out to be anything but unlucky. The judges really put us through our paces and we were absolutely thrilled to be rewarded with two 5 point majors and Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty, over Specials, to finish her American Championship in a big way! She continued on the next day by gaining 5 points towards her Grand Championship making me ever so proud of my baby girl.
Full of Exuberance, EttaJames is a happy girl who loves balls, water and of course her people. While hunting is not readily available for us, we use tracking training as an outlet for her keen hunting instincts and she enjoys this immensely. Always happy to help with the gardening, she has also learned to forage for herself and has a particular love of blueberries and cherry tomatoes.
